Fascinating Forts -  Nakhal, Rustaq 

Full Day Tour (8 Hours)

Departing from Muscat in the morning our first stop will be in Barka, a sea-side town with small souqs and a Fort along the shoreline. From here we continue to Nakhal, where you will visit Nakhal Fort, spectacularly perched on a rocky prominence of the Western Hajar Mountains. The Fort's origin is pre Islamic with major contributions by the Al Yoruba and the Al Busaid dynasties. We will enter further into inland of the unique Sultanate to see the mineral laden hot springs. Take your time to relax a little bit in the shadows of the date palms. Afterwards we take the loop and visit Rustaq to see a fort nestled in the foothills of the Western Hajars. In the evening we return to Muscat with a mind full of nice cultural experiences.
